Understanding the Psychology of Romantic Love,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU01_.jpg

This is an excellent book for men and women. This is an unbelievable read that I keep cognitively returning to, even after several months passed having completed it. It really details and explicates in a very lyrical, beautiful, logistical manner the ways in which Western culture has divorced spiritual transcendence from religious ritual and projected it onto our romantic partners and into our intimate relationships, with disastrous results. Better yet, Johnson provides methods whereby we can counter the psychological implications for American-born and indoctrinated, i.e. of growing up as Westerners, and achieve deep, meaningful relationships with our own Selves to create Our Own Happiness, which is the only way a successful relationship can then occur.
